Paolo was our tour guide in Lecce and advised on our trip to Puglia.

His tour of Lecce was a highlight of our trip. It was informative and entertaining, featuring not just the history of the area but also the culture and customs of Lecce that exist to this day.

Paolo also helped us arrange other tours and reservations at local, under the radar restaurants.

I'd happily work with Paolo again and hope to see him on our next trip to Puglia.

If you want to experience the real Puglia and Basilicara region, Paolo puts together a remarkable and unique adventure through his vast Knowledge and network of wonderful local artisans, chefs, historians, winemakers, and agricultural landowners. He is a maestro in the touring industry, known to everyone we meet, and loved by all those he comes in contact with. Passionate and compassionate, he brings to life artwork, architecture, artifacts, and everything he exposes to you, providing the history and customs of the area, allowing a greater appreciation of a visit. I totally enjoy breaking bread with him at meals, eating traditional meals as if I were a local and not a tourist. We baked bread at a 150+ bakery, had a private wine tasting with vineyard owner, created a local pasta recipe, visited a unique and locally famous artist, had a picnic in an historic park, visited a fabric mill still done by loom, and more, in addition to seeing the highlights with explanation of places like Lecce, Alberobello, Matera, and the cliffs of St Andrea. We went swimming in Gulf of Taranto and in Ostuni - because we wanted to. He even researched before I arrived my family tree in Matera, and located a distant relative who gave me a surprise visit. This was our 50th anniversary and Paolo and his team made it so special words do not do justice. You will not be disappointed if you are looking to be an untouristic tourist. This is my third time using him. If I could give 6 stars, I would.
