I have been to Pompeii several times and when a recent group we were hosting said they wanted to go, I was less than excited. Boy was I wrong. Our tour guide Roberta made this experience the best ever. Her in-depth knowledge of archeology, art and history along with her passion for having people experience this archeological site is contagious. i would now go again as long as she was our guide. Truly a gem!!!

My partner and I recently took a Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello tour with Golden Tours, guided by Nando. While there were some positive aspects, my overall experience was disappointing.

Pros:
- Punctuality: Our driver was on time.
- Comfort: The car was new, comfortable, and air-conditioned, as promised.
- Group Size: We had a small group of only six people.

Cons:
- Driving: Nando's driving felt reckless. He frequently sped along the winding roads, tailgated slower vehicles, and often honked aggressively.
- Lunch: Although not included in the itinerary, Nando insisted we dine at a restaurant he claimed was great. He refused to share the exact restaurant's name beforehand, claiming the menu wasn't online. We paid 25€ for a mediocre set meal at La Marinella, which has a disappointing 2.6-star rating on Google. The restaurant was old and unkempt, making our only meal in Amalfi a letdown.
- Boat Ride: A boat ride was not part of our itinerary, but Nando offered it for an additional 20€ per person without providing details. I declined due to potential seasickness, which seemed to irritate him.
- Attitude: Nando's demeanor was rude and pushy, which was surprising given the region’s reputation for hospitality.

Given my experience, I suggest considering other tour agencies in the Amalfi region. There are many options available that may offer a better experience than I had with Golden Tours.

We enjoyed a modern air-conditioned bus with the pick-up directly at the hotel, a interesting trip down history lane with our tourguide Sal, who shared his knowledge throughout the trip.
The local specialties were also very tasty.

However, to some the title of this excursion "A taste of Naples" might be misleading with only the tasting of Sfogliatella, Cuoppo, Babà & Taralli, which we did not try the Taralli.
The distance to be walked within Napoli should also (even roughly) be mentioned
Our friends which we booked this excursiontogether, expected more of like a "food market", therefore only 4 stars.

Was driven very aggressively and in a huge rush on an Amalfi sharing tour. The guide did not stop talking about absolutely everything even pointing out very irrelevant things. He had a fascination for how much money was spent on boats or villas or hotels and celebrities. We felt very rushed in Positano and Amalfi. On top of this he tried to push us to do what he suggested including eat in a place which had a very poor rating (2.4 from memory) and then had attitude with us when no-one chose to eat there. He was pretty rude about this. He was also rude to me on a couple of occasions for absolutely no reason. We didn't stop at many great viewing spots to take photos despite being told we would. Overall felt very rushed, spoken at, told off and did not really enjoy being thrown around at top speed and missing some lovely views along the way. Would not recommend. I would recommend a private tour or doing it yourself

In short: Our driver didn’t show up at all, so we were late to the tour. We only got half of the tour time because of this, but our guide was amazing. On the way back, the company and the driver were not communicating so we didn’t get to where we needed to go.

Our pickup was incredibly bad and unprofessional. We were scheduled to be picked up at 8:30, however the driver said the pickup was at 9, after calling to confirm. We sat outside and waited for an hour and a half, while the company struggled to justify why the driver was not there. Apparently, the driver had picked up the wrong people, and there were no more drivers available, so we had to wait. When we sent a message to Golden Tours asking if we would make our tour, they responded with just “🙏”. We ended up having to take a € 400 taxi to Herculaneum to make sure we could arrive on time for the tour.
Once we were there, the tour guide was amazing. Even though we only had an hour for the tour rather than two (because of the driver issues), she made the most out of our time and made sure we were able to look around on our own. The tour itself was very interesting and our guide was able to answer all of our questions with great knowledge.
When it was time for the pickup, the driver did show up on time, but refused to take us to where we had previously spoken to the company about. We needed to be dropped off in a different place because we were going to miss our next reservation, however the driver refused to go to the correct place, despite our confirmation with Golden Tours that it was possible.

We had a nice half day tour to Pompeii. Carmela shared lots of interesting information on the drive there which really set the stage for Pompeii. Our group split into two smaller groups. Our guide Januarius was wonderful and very knowledgeable. He set the pace based on the needs of the group, helped my older mother with some of the bigger steps, and gave us a truly "no stress" experience. It's clear he cares a lot about sharing the history of the region with guests. We didn't see a large portion of Pompeii in the half day, but we saw the highlights.

I, Anand Agrawal, had a great experience in Sorrento, Italy while the booked tour was for Amalfi Coast, Positano and Ravello. I was with my family and some of my belongings were left somewhere in Amalfi Coast. We informed the executives and they helped us out. I received all my belongings untouched right in my hotel lobby. I thank Goldentours DMC Sorrento and their staff Mr Luigi and Taxi driver Mr Nando for the wonderful experience and the commendable job they have done.
