Paolo really made our trip to Sicily a most memorable experience. He curated an itinerary that suited our interests. Upon learning I was Catholic, he inserted a side trip to this basilica where Mother Mary performed her last miracle and showed other interestin religious items (like a painting of Madonna dela Milizia and a unique depiction of the Holy Trinity). He picks great local restaurants for us to eat at. When I requested to experience the scala de turchi, he went over and beyond expectations. His insider knowledge ( like the Mitoraj exhibition at the ruins in Syracuse and best seats at Bar Vitelli) really made a difference in our planning. He truly is passionate about his profession and we really appreciated how special he made our trip.

What luck to have connected with Handy Sicily before our recent trip to Sicily. We utilized the agency on 4 occasions and Paolo and his team were outstanding. Paolo's communication before during and after our trip was 5 star all the way. Paolo not only set up excursions but made suggestions that allowed us to include things we would have missed ---and restaurant tips too! We were lucky enough to have Paolo as a driver & guide on two day tips ---Catania to Midica/Ragusa and Palermo to Erice/Trapani/Marsala, as well as a driver on another that he didn't feel we would benefit from the extra expense of a guide and he just directed us to the must-sees in that town [Taormina]. On our transfer from Palermo to Catania we had one of his drivers [safe, professional & prompt] and an independent tour guide at the Roman Villas ---she was extremely knowledgeable & it was such a lovely outing. We utilized Handy Sicily all over Sicily & as transfers from Palermo to Catania and back with detours on both trips. Cannot recommend enough ---prompt, courteous, professional, reasonably priced and very knowledgeable. Grazie mile Paolo, alla prossima!

Touring Sicily with Paolo of HandySicily was fabulous! We spent about 16 days traveling all over Sicily with Paolo guiding us. All his guiding, lodging arrangements, and advice was the best. The hotels he reserved were very nice and always well located for experiencing Sicily’s history, sights, food, wine, and historical sites. When he arranged a tour of a public monument or historical ruins, he always made sure we were there when the crowds were minimal. If it was a wine tasting or other experience at a private facility, it was an exclusive experience; we weren’t just lumped in with a bigger tour. Our schedule was flexible so we could visit places in the best possible weather and time or change to places that better suited our interests. It was an interesting experience just to chat with him in the car as we moved around Sicily. We learned a lot about Sicily, Italy, and life there just by generally chatting about the countryside moving by or with just general topics. Paolo was always on time or early and managed the daily schedules so we arrived timely, but never rushed or harried. It was truly a great and a very luxurious experience. We were always treated as honored guests by the hotels and special places where Paolo had made the arrangements. Paolo is genuine and nice person who is enthused about showing Sicily to his guests. And Paolo’s colleagues Emilia and Domenico were also superb as a guide and driver. We give Paolo’s HandySicily the highest recommendation.

I am so thankful that we discovered Handy Sicily and Paolo! We only had five days planned for Sicily and with Paolo's help, we were able to make the most of those five days! We saw amazing sites and stayed at very comfortable hotels, especially the hotel in Agrigento with a view of the temples. Paolo was very patient and accommodating with my mother who needs a walker and/or wheelchair to get around. Since our return, I drink Campari spritzers and reminisce about our trip and look forward to going back. We'll be in touch Paolo!
