Holiday Inn Johnstown-Downtown, an IHG Hotel - Johnstown, Pennsylvania

Last night we staying in this hotel because our newborn daughter was in the NICU at the nearby hospital, and this hotel partnered with the Ronald McDonald foundation to gift us a room for the night to be closer to our baby. My wife was quite distressed to be separated from our daughter, and was visibly distraught. Upon walking into the hotel the front desk receptionist, Holly, greeted us with genuine warmth and enthusiasm. The first thing I noted was her upbeat and pleasant attitude, and, second, that she knew both of the two gentlemen checking in behind us by name, and greeted them personally. Upon seeing the room voucher and my wife's distress, she immediately started comforting us and went above and beyond to reassure us and help us feel comfortable. She was very gentle and caring, and was the most pleasant hotel staff member I have ever interacted with. She has a passion for people, and is exactly the kind of person you want taking care of customers. She deserves recognition and want her managers to know the difference she makes.

Also, the hotel was very clean and quiet, and the rooms were cleaned well and comfortable.

This is a good hotel to stay at. I was here for work for a week, and was quite satisfied with my experience. The rooms are a bit dated, but it looks like they are being renovated. The rooms are a good size and fairly clean. The service is very good. And the restaurant is quite excellent, if quite dated in its decor. I would recommend this hotel.

The wine deck / harrigans restaurant is very nice. Excellent acoustic entertainment. Staff is super friendly. Great music, Katie The Bartender Great Asset. Super First Class treated. Even when it's crowded she's nails it!

I was in Johnstown for a homegoing service for a family member. The viewing was on 12/5/24 and when I got back to the hotel I was very distraught and not in a good space. I decided to get dinner at the hotel restaurant and my day was changed. Kellee (my hostess) and Nicole (my server) were so kind, compassionate and understanding that my heart was lifted and I felt better. I want to thank the entire staff but especially these two young ladies for turning my evening around. I will definitely be returning ?

I was staying here for a conference that took place here. The rooms were tidy and the atmosphere was welcoming. The venue was also accommodating to the conference, and everything during the conference was well-kept. The people at the front desk were also willing to answer any questions I had. This is the place to stay if anybody needs to do anything in the Johnstown area, particularly downtown.

Had to wait until midnight for our room to be ready when we were checking in with reservations we made months before. After driving 5 hours from out of state to then have to wait 3 more hours to even get into room, it wasn't the best hospitality offered.
And paying more for the king rooms which are next to the noisy always running elevators, when you can hear normal conversations in other rooms through the walls, well next time I'll save my money and sleep by a working factory or by the train tracks cuz those places would be much more quiet and relaxing. Hotel was clean at least and hotel workers were nice. Also don't know why they don't mention anywhere online the ongoing construction in the building and work starts at 8am. If you do get the opportunity to visit beautiful Johnstown, PA, I'd recommend you stay at a different hotel.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Booked this for a wedding block. Day of the wedding the hotel cancelled my guests room. When we went to check in, the man at the counter was so rude and was giving every person checking in a hard time (even the bride and groom). When we went to show him the confirmation number he said “I’m not sure what to tell you but there’s no rooms”. I’m not sure how this happened, especially the day of the wedding. When I asked to speak to a manager he said to come back in the morning. Unfortunately that wouldn’t make a difference as we needed the place to sleep THAT NIGHT. Service was horrible and it’s so sad that this had to happen on my wedding night
