Very spacious rooms, well appointed and comfortable.

Hotel has lots of parking and located centrally to get to most places in town but on really busy road and nothing within walking distance.

Amenities are good ( outside fireplace and grills), breakfast is excellent. Lobby coffee was always fresh.

Value paid was good.

Staff is really helpful and welcoming , the night we checked in the attendant was above and beyond providing us with everything we needed and more.

We stayed here at the end of a lengthy trip and were pleasantly surprised by the wheelchair accessibility of the rooms. The space in the rooms, roll in shower or tub with shower seat were all so helpful for us ! The rooms were kept clean and in our 2 weeks stay we utilized the outdoor grills also. We have actually rebooked this hotel again for another stay . Monique was so pleasant and helpful getting us checked in and making sure we had the accommodations we needed. All of the staff was very nice and always offered a pleasant greeting .

Home2 Suites Norfolk Airport was the perfect place for us to stay. Location was great. All the staff members were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was always fresh and the eating area and lobby were always clean. Georgette, at the front desk, was extremely helpful, she greeted everyone, and is a real asset to the Home2 Suites Company!! Every employee made us feel welcome and thanked us for staying at Home2 Suites. We travel often and this location was by far our best experience anywhere!!

The staff is great. My room had dishes in the dishwasher, not sure if they are dirty or not. The biggest complaint is that I could hear every movement from the room above me. Not sure if the guest was just heavy footed, but it took them over 2 hours to get ready (it is just past 5am now) and they like to pace. I am on the third floor. Again, this is not a staff issues (well, I guess the dishes are) but this is a construction issue. I was able to sleep a couple hours. I would overall say the room fee wasn't appropriate for 2 hours worth of sleep.

Monique was very nice and helpful in the breakfast bar. She greeted us with a smile and kept the breakfast area well stocked and very clean. She was very pleasant and even came by and collected our dishes when we were finished. It was a great start to our day in Norfolk.

Staff was great. Wanted to say thanks to Moe for keeping the breakfast stocked and being so friendly. The breakfast bowl was tasty and warm. ||Check in was easy. ||I appreciated the free toothbrush and toothpaste when I realized I had forgotten mine.

This review is difficult to write because my experience was as if I were in two different hotels.
Chris, the Manager was FANTASTIC! He was kind and he cared about his guests having a good experience at his hotel. Each and every Desk and Food Staff Member was also FANTASTIC! The Public Areas of the hotel were clean and welcoming to guests. The coffee was always hot and plentiful.
So, where did things go a little off? Housekeeping seemed to have a disconnect. It started before I even arrived and it was actually a repeat of a previous issue. I am ALLERGIC to feathers, therefore feather/down pillows and comforters are life-threatening for me. I really don't understand why so many major hotels use feathers. It doesn't make sense! I make a note in my reservation and I call the day before to bring the feather allergy to the attention of Housekeeping. In fairness to this location, almost every Hilton I stay at, and I stay at a lot, puts at least one feather pillow in my room. Training clearly doesn't emphasize that a life could be lost because of carelessness.
Next, the drywall tape was peeling from the main room ceiling in my room. The sofa bed was defective and, on one day it was left partially open because it wouldn't close. One day only decaf coffee was stocked. That day there was no sugar. The next day I went to the Desk and specifically asked for a few packs of regular cane sugar. It was written down on a list correctly by the Desk. When the room was cleaned and stocked - no sugar. One day there was no bath mat. It wasn't Earth shattering, I used a towel but the bottom line was the repeated slips that were more than listed, were annoying and frustrating after a while. For three days, the halls weren't vacuumed. I know this because I looked at the same metal clip for a nametag in front of Room 406 wondering how long it would stay there.
I feel bad because the employees were so kind and friendly. Although this review is tough, I really believe a little more training and actually sticking to a checklist will turn this location into a four-star hotel. The good bones are already there.
I would give the hotel a third chance because of the kindness I experienced.

Rooms are comfortable for a family. Clean facility, nice gym, pool, and firepit. Wonderful staff.|Food service crew outstanding, especially Monique, she is personable, friendly and very helpful to the guest. Would come back in the future!
