We booked a private tour of Florence and Pisa during a recent Mediterranean cruise. This tour was more than we expected! Our driver, Carlo, was out of this world. From the moment he picked us up, until the end of the day, he went out of his way to share information with us about where we were, what we were seeing, etc. He even stopped several times throughout the trip to take us to places he felt we must see (and he was right)! During the ride to Pisa he educated us on the history of the area. From Pisa to Florence he stopped on the side of the road so we could see a vineyard in Chianti, and upon arriving in Florence took us to the best spot for the most scenic view of the city. In Florence our tour guide was great, showing us the highlights of the city (and helping us to know we want to return to see more). Even on the ride back to our ship, Carlo was full of information. It was a great day and definitely recommend any of the tours, and I look forward to using them on a future trip to Italy.

We used Italy Tours for 3 tours - one each in Naples (Pompeii and Amalfi Coast), Rome and Florence/ Pisa. All 3 tours were fantastic. The drivers all picked us up right outsidethe dock as indicated they would and always had us back on the ship with at least an hour to spare - so there was never a concern. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable and the drivers knew all the best places to get us close to the attractions we wanted to see. Our Rome Driver amazed me - he would get us right up to each of the places we visited. Our Florence/Pisa driver did that and more. She not only got us early to our locations but truly went above and beyond to stop twice during the day to buys us delicious treats (Foccacia and cannoli) from her favourite local bakeries for all 8 of us on the tour and would not let us pay - she paid out of her own pocket. We had these amazing tours for what I felt was a great price. We paid about 1/3rd of the cost than we would have if we had booked through our ship. Italy Tours was recommended to me by a friend and I’m so glad - it was the best decision!!

We had a fabulous day in Pisa and Florence Francesca was amazing we felt like we had a tour within the tour. She kept us informed and was kind enough to answer all our questions. The drive to and from Florence flew by.

The guide in Florence was also great she was very informative and kept us all on track.

I wouldn’t hesitate to book with this company again and will recommend to our friends/family.

We did two tours one in Naples and one in Rome. This was the best choice we made. First time not doing a cruise excursion
The Naples tour was a small group. The tour guide was awesome. He choose the best restaurant for lunch. He kept things light. The guide inside Pompeii was very informative. In Rome we did a completely private tour. Our guide Valentina and our driver Fabitzio was fabulous. This is the best was to tour. Individual attention. Was able to ask all our questions. We could choose what we wanted to focus on. Best recommendation for a tour.

The Best of Florence tour from the Livorno cruise port was perfect! Our driver and Florence tour guide were so helpful and knowledgeable. We would gladly do another tour with Italy Tours, and highly recommend.

Used for Cinque Terra from Livorno Cruise port and would highly recommend. This area of Italy is not easy to navigate to but our expert driver Stefano delivered us right to the “front door” of all three villages we saw. We enjoyed the tour and arrangements made with Italy Tours- bravo!

We took The Amalfi Coast tour during our cruise just last week and this was one of our favorite tours! We had free time in Amalfi and Positano for shopping or food about one hour each. And then we continued to Ravello where we had about an hour and a half to get some lunch. I wish we had a little more time but given the time frame to get from the port to the towns and traffic this was not possible.

Our driver was excellent and very friendly. I would recommend for anyone looking for something different and less expensive than the cruise line tours! They had us back to ship in plenty of time.

May 7th, we used Italy Tours EU from a recommendation via our cruise Facebook page. I was nervous because it was my first time cruising, and this wasn't through the ship. I couldn't be happier! Luigi was fantastic and the driver, forgive me, I think Peter navigated those roads like a champ! The pick-up was easy, all the stops were made, and we were back in more than enough time. If you are thinking about this excursion, do it because you won't be disappointed. Also, the communication with getting the tour itself was easy, and Italy Tours is very responsive and thorough. I'm glad I did this excursion.
