The mixed reviews are pretty accurate. For $70 per person we had higher expectations but also understand that food/labor costs are higher these days. Everything tasted good; it just lacked the fine dining touch/attention to detail that we were expecting. For Bedford it’s a nice option and you’re supporting a local business and good people. One side of the restaurant is BYOB (huge bonus!) and the other side serves beer/wine. Your choice what side you want to sit on. We liked saving some money by bringing our own wine.

Everything was really great. We felt that some of the plates weren't as flavorful as others and it is a bit of a wait between plates (5 courses) but overall it's a really great place to go!

First: please note that MANY of the negative reviews are not for this restaurant but are rather for the restaurant next door (a mostly lunch affiliated restaurant called LIFeSTYLE next door). You should disregard them.

This restaurant does fixed-price, multi-course, family style seated Italian dinners for an incredible price. The food was high quality, thoughtfully prepared and served with care and friendly attention. The setting is essentially just the store but with a large table set in it. The company was great in our case (your mileage may vary).

The chef was extremely accommodating in providing vegetarian options for us and all of the diners were pleased with their selections.

I strongly recommend this for a dinner while staying in Bedford (and certainly recommend it over the Crystal Room at the Bedford Springs resort, which costs much more for a lower quality experience).

I really did not want to leave a poor review for this restaurant, but the experience I had today was very unpleasant. I understand during the Fall foliage festival it is busy. But this is also common knowledge a restaurant should be prepared for. By this I mean you should be fully stocked on ingredients or at the least update your menu to reflect or the ingredients that have run out. Or the bare minimum would be to inform customers of the ingredients that have run out after you pay for it and wait an hour for food.

Today I placed a fairly simply order with my three friends. I ordered the Korean bowl and they ordered 3 other bowls on the menu. We all waited about an hour which was expected and understandable. However what is not acceptable is when I receive my food and half the ingredients listed for what I order are not provided. All my bowl consisted of was white rice, beef, red cabbage and an egg. This was not a $16 meal and did not even look appealing. I immediately knew this was not what I ordered. I referenced the menu and explained that half the ingredients were missing from my food. I am informed they are out of 3 of these items including avocado, apple and green onion. I was informed they just forgot the mushrooms and was brought out of to go cup of mushrooms. I was not offered anything to make up for the other items initially until I had to ask. They then offered to cut a pear to replace the missing apple and that was all. I asked for Tzatziki to make up for the Avocado at least and she looked annoyed but ended up giving me the pear and tzatziki added to my bowl. The whole interaction was bizarre because I did not once receive an apology nor did the restaurant act like it was out of the ordinary for them to be out of the majority of their ingredients. In the end she acted like she was doing me a favor for giving me still not even as much as I paid for. I have been to this establishment a few times while in town and enjoyed my experience, but this whole situation rubbed me the wrong way. The bare minimum should be taking accountability and ask how can we fix this? The food i finally ended up with wasn’t to bad other than the fact that the meat was cold by the time I finally got to eat. I don’t think I will be returning.

Everything was delish. Great atmosphere. Bring your own wine. We had a big group of people and the other customers didn't seem to mind us being louder. 5 course meals. Amazing flavor from beginning to end. The owner was very thorough on what was being delivered as well.

If you want to experience an Italian dinner without going to Italy, this is the place to try! When you make reservations the only thing you know is that you will get a five course meal! Once you arrive the menu is at your seat. The food was good and the pace of dinner was leasurely. One note BYOB! If you like new experiences and have good friends, try this place out!

Smoke & mirror show. I am no Gorden Ramsay, but I would love for him to just look at the pics of food served to me. Lets start with the seating (the chairs you have to sit in for a few hours are in fact are made of wood but feel like stone after that length of seating), every person at the table complaint of the uncomfortable chairs. BYOB. 5 course meal:
1. Pitiful charcuterie board
Pic below, need I say anymore.
2. Pasta or risotto both garbage
Pasta was made & left to sit & dry out, then reheated in microwave. Risotto the same & neither had any flavor.
3. & 4. Beef or fish w/ lettuce mediocre at best
Beef was semi cold miceowave reheat then drizzle added. Fish was done well but bland.
5. Wine soaked peach w/ice cream this dish allowed me to leave w/something in my stomach that had decent flavor.
I do not recommend nor will I return under any circumstance!!! Go see for yourself & you will also know.

Where to begin?
The charcuterie board was underwhelming - one cheese, one type of cracker, two meats.
The crostini were not toasted. They were French bread slices with a spread of red pepper hummus and. three olive on top of each. The pasta was dry and bland and appearing to have been under a heat lamp for some time.
The main was a choice of a fish in a red sauce-type stew or chicken cacciatore which was also cooked down in a red sauce stew.
When presented on the plate, they looked like a crock pot stew that had been made ahead.
The salad on the side was solely bib lettuce with lemon and olive oil.
We asked for salt because the mains were bland also. The waitress was annoyed.
We felt very uncomfortable because we could tell that she was unhappy with us.
The tiramisu was also mediocre with a sugar granulated texture throughout . Whole Foods has a spectacular tiramisu- much more authentic and delicious.
The expresso was luke warm.
Our family had a wonderful time even though the dinner was awful.
Don’t spend 75.00 a person for a meal that is not anything more than crockpot comfort food.
