Amazing customer service! Jamari was exceptionally helpful and made me feel first class. 5 stars! I love the rooms and the location is best in town. The gym is also great. We come here once or twice a year and I love our experience every time. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

My wife and I stayed at the Cavalier Hotel nearby for our anniversary and wanted a Christmas ornament to commemorate the occasion. Unfortunately for us, the Cavalier ornaments are only sold in the Marriott gift shop. We drove to the Marriott and parked in a space marked for 5 minute parking. Even though several other people parked there too, a couple of parking attendants proceeded to demand we move our car to another location because the spaces were "only for valets," never mind the sign or other visitors. I explained we would be out in less than 5 minutes but they were insistent and aggressive. We moved the car. Other visitors parked in our spot, and received no complaints from the attendants. It felt like they were bullying us. We bought the ornament (begrudgingly at this point) and left in less than five minutes. Why did the attendants single us out to pick on? I don't know. But I do know that I won't stay at a place that treats my wife and I that way. There are plenty of other hotels. I gave 2 stars because the gift shop employee was nice and apologized for the weird behavior of the attendants.

Front desk staff was very efficient. Never did i wait for more than a few minutes, and they were very very friendly. The restaurants, while a bit pricey ( sort of expected for an ocean front resort). This visit was over the Thanksgiving holiday, and the Christmas decorations were up and beautiful.... lots of photo ops.||Although i didn't personally experience it, i did see a couple who wanted to rent the bikes, a two hour free rental was advertised... no one could figure out to unlock the bike area, so they didn't get their two hour ride. Only other complaint is the inability of guests to use the luggage carts. ONLY bell-staff may use them.||The rooms were great (microwave would have been appreciated)... The housekeeping service was OUTSTANDING. Service every day, even on Thanksgiving. ||Very positive stay.

This was the absolute worst way to spend an anniversary. It began with being double charged, while on a budget for an already overpriced room. So dinner was anxiety filled, and it took a week and fighting to put the money back in my account. In addition, the elevator key was not put in correctly so my friend and I were literally stuck in the elevator for 5 minutes until someone pushed a button. Let me tell you how terrifying that was. When we went downstairs to be escorted to our room since the elevator key wasn't working properly, we were escorted by security who also did not have a key. The management ruined our anniversary, the room was disgusting, the shower had hair in it and no one cared about servicing anyone but themselves. Stay at the hilton, stay anywhere else. This place is an embarrassment to the ocean front and their rooms are worth 25 a night at best. Save your money.

Celebrated the wedding of my daughter this past weekend and the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Resort venue could not have been more perfect! The planning commenced 10 months ago, and working with Joslyn, the Director of Weddings, was an incredibly positive experience. She is the consummate professional, deftly handling the multitude of details and challenges with total enthusiasm and expert care. The Presidential Suite served was an incredible setting as our central hospitality gathering site for family and friends throughout the 4-day extravaganza. Special shoutout to our housekeeper Patricia who kept up with the daily aftermath, and Eric the bellman who skillfully hauled multiple loads of luggage, food, beverages, supplies, and other miscellaneous wedding accoutrements. The onsite restaurants were equally highly rated by everyone in attendance. This property is truly fantastic in every measurable aspect!

Hotel was beautiful and staff very friendly. The view of the ocean from our room was spectacular and the lobby and other areas were decorated already for Christmas which got us in the mood for the holidays. Just the amenities were so nice. Lots of areas to have a drink, eat, or just relax. Jamari B. was especially kind to us and updated our room. He was very accommodating and friendly.

Know what you're getting. Ask lots of questions when booking.

-Glass bathroom door that's very easy to see through.

-One wall of the room is entirely glass.

If you need a place to stay on a family vacation or business trip, this would be a bad decision.

Holiday Inn offers much more.

If you are going for something much more *intimate*, you might appreciate this sort of place. Very beautiful views and not very modest layout.

*No air ventilation fan in bathroom*

Having a background in building and architecture, this is something I always look for.

I see a few reviews complaining about mold. That is your culprit.

However, my room was clean. I noticed no unpleasant smells or mold during my stay.

My wife and I wanted to express our appreciation to all who make this Hotel and its accommodations an absolutely wonderful place to stay. There is sooooo much attention to detail in every aspect and it absolutely shows. Everyone should know that their hard work and energy is greatly appreciated and we would love to come back during the summer to have another wonderful experience.
