Cherrye and her team at My Bella Vita Travel helped us create the most amazing trip to the Calabria region of southern Italy. Cherrye and her team put together a trip of a lifetime for our 40th anniversary. Their attention to detail and dedication to first class service created an experience for us that we will never forget. Wow! What an amazing first trip to Italy! Cherrye and her group made this once-in-a-lifetime trip PERFECT! Every detail carefully orchestrated; every day was filled with wonder! Didn’t have to worry about a thing…meals, lodging, transportation…made for a very relaxing vacation. Heritage specialist was the main reason for this trip and that didn’t disappoint either.

My Bella Vita Travel planned an outstanding Italian experience for our family! The perfect balance of excursions and time to explore from Rome to Sicily to Gizzeria and the Amalfi Coast. Cherrye got everything started and Lulu stepped in to handle all the specific plans while being prompt in answering any and all questions and working with any special requests. We were welcomed and transported by reliable drivers and enjoyed the enthusiasm and passion of the tour guides. This trip is now a most special memory and we owe many thanks to Cherrye and Lulu for this unforgettable experience!

Cherrye and her outstanding colleagues gave us invaluable advice and support in planning our recent 3 week trip to Calabria. We've never used an agency for our European trips before (only for Africa and India) but the available info on Calabria was so skimpy that we needed help. They recommended and booked half a dozen super, characterful lodgings for us and organized a some very memorable local experiences, and were always available to provide prompt advice and support before we left and as we were driving around. Wholeheartedly recommend!

I am a third generation Italian American who grew up in Mt Vernon NY. I was always curious about my heritage and wanted to travel one day to Acri, Cosenza, Calabria where my great Grandparents came from.
I knew since I don’t speak Italian, only what my father called me when he got mad, I would need a guided genealogy tour of some kind. I searched and came across Cherrye Moore and My Bella Vita travel. Her and her team specialize in Calabrian trips for researching your roots. After 3 years of Covid related cancellations, which Cherrye was so accommodating, we got to go this past June. It was a dream come true. From the time we arrived in Paola we were in their capable hands. Gianluca drove us to Acri which was like entering a Time Machine. I was transported to being 5 years old in my grandmother’s neighborhood by the sounds of the old ladies yelling out the window, the smell of delicious food being cooked and the sight of old men arguing over bocce ball. I felt at home.
The next day we were taken by Domenico, a My Bella Vita heritage specialist to the Comune to go over birth records and to the churches they were baptized in. We had an unbelievable, never ending Calabrese meal at a local restaurant. And then he arranged for us to meet long lost relatives for a caffe. They were so sweet and invited us for dinner at their house the next day!!!
The day after he brought us to an Agriturismo in the beautiful Sila mountains to tour the Dairy Farm and sample the excellent food. That night we met our family for dinner and they gave us homemade Salumi they made with Calabrian Black Pig.
From info they gave, our great grandfathers were brothers!!!
To say I am over the moon with how well this trip went is an understatement. And I owe it all to My Bella Vita. Thank you so much.

I'd give 10 stars if I could. Cherrye arranged an ancestry trip for my sister and I in 2019 and that trip left me speechless. It was so moving and emotional and perfect. Most recently, May 2023, I was taking my family to Malta. I asked Cherrye if she could help me with Malta excursions and a driver. Our driver, Alex with AJ Transfer Malta became like family to us. We had ages 62 down to 21 on our trip and he connected with each of us. The streets of Malta are busy and he always knew shortcuts. He was fantastic. We had several excursions - an all day sailing excursion with Sailing Charters Malta .com, a guided buggie tour in Gozo with Gozo Quad Hire, and a Maltese cooking class at Diar iL-Bniet. All of these exceeded our expectations. But the cherry on top was a dinner we would have never known about if not for Cherrye. It was a private dinner with a Museum Curator through Heritage Malta. It was at a Maritime Museum that used to be a Naval Bakery. It was the perfect way to end our trip. I would highly recommend My Bella Vita and her crew. You will not be disappointed.
