Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel - Norfolk, Virginia

Sono stato allo Sheraton Waterside per una settimana circa e devo dire che lo standard delle camere è al solito molto buono, in linea con gli altri hotel Sheraton. Anche la posizione è molto buona e soprattutto chi avrà la camera con vista sul canale potrà godere di un ottimo panorama. ||I servizi offerti sono i soliti: palestra, piscina (all'aperto), lavanderia, ecc. ||La coazione è a buffet, sia all'inglese, sia europea e si può mangiare a sazietà anche se la scelta non è molto ampia e non varia di giorno in giorno.||Il parcheggio è a pagamento e dista circa 200-300 metri dall'albergo.||La nota dolente però è soprattutto la connessione wi-fi veramente ridicola, lentissima, peggio delle prime connessioni a 56k... e vi sconsiglio anche quella a pagamento: 10 $ al giorno buttati via... ||Il bel ricordo è legato alla possibilità di non richiedere la pulizia giornaliera della camera: vengono detratti 5$ da spendere al ristorante o in uno degli altri servizi offerti dall'hotel.

Everything was great! Warmly greeted at the front desk at check in. Room clean and comfy. Had an issue with our tub and it was expeditiously handled. Dining was amazing and we did the buffet. What a steal at under $19.00. Greeted and seated by Mimi, service was great from the time we enter the dining area to the time we left. When finished, we chatted for a bit with the staff at closing time. The freshly made omelets were delicious and a great experience with Rena’s spunk. Mena was great too and kept my warm syrup coming as well as personally got my wife a spoon of choice. Not to mention Angel who took great care of us at our table by keeping our glasses filled, table cleared and always asked if we needed anything. I am here for a conference but live locally and will definitely be back. Thank you to a great staff and service all around.

I stayed here last month and had a great experience. I got to my room and it smelled like weed. I could hear and smell that it was coming from the connecting room. I asked the front desk nicely if they had another room available and said the room had a bit of a weed scent. They apologized and upgraded my room. When I woke up in the morning I had a thank you bag with some snacks and an apology note.
I travel for work once a week minimum all over the US. Sometimes there are problems with rooms that the front desk doesn’t know about; I have probably asked to move rooms about twice a year for the last 12 years. I’ve never had this kind of service when I have asked. I just assumed it was because I wasn’t angry. It’s nice to know you don’t have to be angry when something happens to be acknowledged.

Hi. I stayed at your hotel a couple of weeks ago with my son who was in a wheelchair. He had a recent serious surgery on his leg and I live in Maryland so I came down to help him for the first week. I was waiting to receive a post stay survey but never got it. There are a few employee that I want to make sure they get recognition for going above and beyond in service. First, Dominic the valet. From the first moments after pulling up when he saw my son getting out of the car with a metal cage around his leg from a recent surgery and needed a wheelchair, he ran over to help him get out of the car and made sure my car was close by out whole stay and that the other valets help me when they saw me if he wasn’t around. He gave me a card to scan for a review but I can’t find it but I want to give him a shoutout. Next is Vinet at the front desk. When we checked in there wasn’t a handicap accessible room available so I took what you had. After a day it was too much with the wheelchair and there wasn’t a handicap bathroom. When I came down to the front desk Vinet jumped all over it and went above and beyond to help us. He even wrote a sweet note and sent a bag of m&ms and other goodies. It was appreciated very much. Next on my list is Mimi in the restaurant. She was so sweet and helpful with breakfasts. My son couldn’t come down to the restaurant so Mimi helped me get breakfast together for him and was extra attentive. Last but not least Sara in banquets. She is a friend of my son’s, and it was because of her that we found your wonderful hotel. She did everything to help me with my reservation and get setup. I was in town because of his surgery and to help the first week and Sara, along with your other employees made a stressful situation better for me since it was just me helping my son. I will always recommend the Sheraton Waterfront and I hope to come back soon under better circumstances and enjoy the waterside area. Thank you and happy holidays to you and your staff. ||Christina

Mimi was always friendly every time I seen her she made the breakfast that much more enjoyable remembered names and was always cheerful and had a great smile 10/10 would stay there again. Front desk was exceptional I forget the names as I interacted with a few during my week stay best hotel experience I’ve had in a long time. Great job.

Do not valet your car here. My car was damaged in the valet parking lot sometime during my two-night stay. I left my information, they filed a claim and it was denied. The valet, hotel management, and insurance company have completely ignored my calls, emails, and texts requesting more information. I’m not one to leave a bad review but their lack of responsibility for a relatively small claim is unprofessional.

Room was fine, both the sink and shower were clogged, but otherwise fine.
